Founding of F. Gehrig AG in Ballwil (LU)

Founding of the Josef Bornstein Commercial Agency in Hobart

1949

Founding of Eduard Hildebrand AG, a washing machine retailer in Aadorf

1957

Development and manufacturing of Hildebrand-brand glassware and dishwashers in Aadorf

1975

Founding of HOBART (Swiss) AG

1977

HOBART (Swiss) AG Acquires J. Bornstein AG

1978

Founding of Hildebrand France S.a.r.l.

2001

Management buyout of HOBART (Swiss) AG and transition to FCC Food Equipment AG

2004

Expansion of the product line to include Eloma combi steamers, baking equipment, and Moretti Forni pizza ovens and accessories.

2005

FCC Food Equipment AG Changes Its Name to FCC Group AG

2006

60 Years of F. Gehrig AG

2007

Gehrig Group AG was founded through the merger of F. Gehrig AG, Hildebrand AG, and FCC Group AG (Ballwil), followed by the company’s acquisition by Metall Zug AG, the expansion of the product line to include Thermoplan fully automatic coffee machines, and the companies’ first joint appearance at IGEHO.

2008

Merger of the St. Prex and Renens locations in Renens, and the Aadorf and Glattbrugg locations in Glattbrugg

2009

With the expansion of the product line to include Faema semi-automatic machines, the ISO 9001:2008 certification of the entire Gehrig Group AG, and the consolidation of the Ballwil and Glattbrugg locations at the new headquarters in Glattbrugg, another important step in the company’s development was taken.

Opening of the INNOVA and CULINA Showrooms in Glattbrugg
